A LARGE CONTEMPORARY COTTAGE STYLE GARDEN
We were commissioned by Sam and Bruce to design and build a family friendly cottage style garden, with multiple areas for dining, relaxing and gardening, whilst sympathetically modernising the space.
The large pergola covers a large sandstone and brick detailed seating area. This area also functions as an outdoor cinema and houses a pizza oven!
We designed and built a wide central set of steps to draw the eye to the Pots and Pithoi terracotta water feature, which creates a central focal point for many areas of the garden.
Past the water feature, the path continues onto a large and beautiful Hartley Botanical glasshouse.
The view from Bruce's study reaches to the very end of the garden, travelling along the path through oak archways and a wide oak pergola, you reach a smaller patio with a Lutyens bench.
Much of the planting is a subtle blend of greens, whites and purples, creating a feeling of calm and sophistication. One boundary features many elegant pleached trees, which create privacy and screens the neighbour's property.
To conclude, the garden creates endless spaces to enjoy on many levels - this garden just keeps on giving.
